Welcome, Mike Theis

Mike Theis brings more than two decades of leadership experience in utility operations, construction, and infrastructure management to the WDRWS. Throughout his career, he has led teams and projects that support essential services and long-term community growth across the region.

Currently serving as Public Works Director for the City of Rapid City, Theis is known for his collaborative leadership style, strategic thinking, and commitment to strengthening critical infrastructure. His experience and perspective will help support WDRWS’s mission of providing reliable, high-quality water service to western South Dakota.
